Ehwaz symbolizes an unbreakable bone, a true friendship. It demands serious intentions to make sure the matter at hand will be successful. Also, Ehwaz enables us to make sure that our tasks flow from a beginning to an end. It is controlled change, progress, and sometimes a journey. Ehwaz means "horse" in the old Germanic tongue and represents the partnership, trust, loyalty, and faithfulness present between a horse and rider.

You have the support you need to make swift progress towards your goal, but you must be loyal and supportive to those around you, the people who are always ready to help you. The horse is proud, but that does not impede its purpose. So while you can be proud of your achievements, you must remain humble to ensure your journey reaches a successful conclusion.

Ehwaz is a rune of partnership and friendship. It translates to “horse” and represents the trust, loyalty, and faithfulness that exists between the horse and rider. It is also a rune of movement, but more so in the metaphorical sense. It ensures movement towards a goal and allows tasks to flow from beginning to end. It also brings a sense of confidence in one’s journey. Ehwaz may be used in several different ways. Perhaps you are looking to establish or strengthen a friendship or partnership. Ehwaz may be gifted to this individual to signify and foster this positive intention. For more personal use, Ehwaz can be helpful to call upon when working to complete a project or task. Carry it with you to amplify these efforts.

Due to its meaning of “horse,” Ehwaz may be connected to the great eight legged horse Sleipnir along with Odin by association. Carry Ehwaz with you to honor their great partnership or include this rune in your space of worship.
